January/ February 2016: Making the case for adaptation in Zanzibar

Researchers from the ECONADAPT project met with government officials (in multiple departments) and other policy makers to discuss the ECONADAPT project work on the development of a National Climate Change Action Plan for Zanzibar. The research is helping to appraise a costed action plan for the archipelago, a small, low-lying developing island that is highly vulnerable to climate change and thus a priority for international climate finance. Activities included consultation meetings and workshops. This work forms part of the case studies on International Development Assistance and the economic appraisal of international climate finance projects (WP9).
